DRIVER MEDICARE SERVICES

PCV (BUS) MEDICAL

Currently, the legislation governing a PCV licence is very similar to that governing HGV and LGV. A medical examination must be completed when applying for a first licence. Subsequently, a second medical examination is required at the age of 45, and annual medicals are required at five-year intervals until the age of 65, at which point yearly medicals are mandatory. The period between the completion of your medical examination and the application for your licence (or licence renewal) must not exceed three months. The DVLA must be informed of any changes in the medical condition of a PCV Licence user at any given time. This may necessitate an additional medical examination, contingent upon the specific circumstances.

Additionally, the expiration date on the rear of your PCV license will indicate the date on which your medical is due. Additionally, 56 days prior to the expiration of your license, the DVLA will send you renewal documentation via mail.

Prices begin at £55 and include an eye test.
